West Coast veteran Josh Kennedy gave Eagles fans another milestone to celebrate, kicking his 700th goal for the club in his likely last season of a decorated career.

The 34-year-old reached his 700th career goal against Richmond in round seven but scored 11 of those in 22 games at Carlton over his first two seasons (2006-2007), before being traded to West Coast.

He told Gareth Parker on his regular Tuesday segment with 6PR Breakfast the moment was pretty cool and he found himself swapping jumpers at 3/4 time unexpectedly to preserve the occasion.

“The club came out pretty quick and ended up swapping the jumpers,” he said.
