Woolworths will open its new supermarket at Perth Airport tomorrow, located in the new Dunreath Village shopping centre.

Built on Commonwealth-owned land the supermarket is exempt from Perth’s restrictive trading hours and will operate between 7am and 7pm on weekends and until 9pm during the week.

Woolworths State Director of Operations Karl Weber told Oliver Peterson on 6PR’s Perth Live the six hours Woolworths trades on Sunday outperforms all trading days throughout the week, placing stress on team members.

Weber suggested extending trading hours would create relief for team members with customers also preferring the greater flexibility.
