People have started stockpiling paracetamol more than a year out from a proposed reduction in pack sizes available off the shelf in pharmacies from 100 to 32 tablets or capsules.

Pain Australia CEO Giulia Jones told Gary Adshead on 6PR MorningsĀ people who live with chronic pain are invisible to policy-makers, and the reduction would heavily affect a large contingent of the population.

“It’s not the whole answer – it doesn’t fix everything – but it’s something to help people get on with their lives,” Ms Jones said.

“The Therapeutic Goods Administration is not thinking of this cohort very much.”
