Despite forecasts of a hot summer many Australians are still expected to hit the road for this upcoming holiday season. 

RAC Manager of Vehicles and Fuels Alex Forrest told Julie-Anne Sprague on 6PR Afternoons drivers to check their car before they start packing, especially soaring temperatures.

“We’re expecting much higher temperatures than what we’ve had in previous summers and of course that makes a big difference to the way a car operates especially when the car is running at higher speeds sometimes carrying more people or towing heavy loads”, Mr Forrest said.
