Police in Los Angeles have breached a van that matches the description of the getaway vehicle connected to the mass shooting that left 10 people dead and 10 seriously injured.

Five men and five women were killed when a shooter opened fire in a dance hall in Monterey Park during Lunar New Year celebrations.

US reporter Charles Feldman told 6PR Breakfast the Los Angeles County Sheriff, Robert Luna, is yet to confirm whether the suspected gunman was inside.
