A new national DrinkWise campaign is encouraging parents to educate their children on underage drinking.

More than 40 percent of 14 to 17-year-olds who drink are supplied the alcohol by their parents.

Adolescent psychologist Michael Carr-Gregg told 6PR Breakfast host Gareth Parker parents have a responsibility to not supply alcohol to adolescents.

“Make decisions on good evidence,” said Mr Carr-Gregg.
