Tourism experts are urging the government to invest $25 million to fast-track digital versions of incoming passenger cards.

Tourism and Transport Forum CEO Margy Osmond told 6PR Breakfast hosts Millsy and Karl that Australia is no longer recognised as a leader in border technology, arguing that replacing paper forms with digital is essential for a more seamless arrival process.

“We do need the collection of information, but we don’t need to do it on paper,” she said.
