Dr Ramya Rama: there’s no use blaming GP clinics for an overloaded hospital system

Premier Mark McGowan has indicated pressures on the state’s hospitals could be attributed to signs on the doors of GP clinics; advising patients with respiratory symptoms to visit hospital emergency departments.
Royal Australian College of General Practitioners WA Chair, Dr Ramya Rama told Oliver Peterson on Perth Live there’s no use in blaming GP’s for an overloaded hospital system.
“It’s not about ‘not wanting’ to see patients because that’s not the case,” she said.
