Don’t leave people ‘on their own’: Chaney calls for alternative supports before NDIS exit
Federal member for Curtin Kate Chaney supports the Albanese government’s efforts to rein in the NDIS, but said the necessary changes are not being implemented correctly.
Chaney told 6PR Drive host Jamie Burnett on Politically Speaking that the change is necessary due to providers rorting the system.
However, she warned that NDIS users will be left without any support if the government does not approach this transition carefully.
“People who are on the NDIS have fought really hard to get that support, the other supports that used to be there have dried up and so they’re really concerned that if they lose this they’ll be on their own,” she said.
