Don’t Blame Me: the ‘Taylor Swift Effect’ economy and what WA is is missing out on

The economic windfall set to be pulled in during Taylor Swift’s upcoming “national” Australian tour could trump even that of the entire summer of cricket, it has been found.

AFR National Reporter Samantha Hutchinson has gone over the numbers ahead of the Eras Tour and found the “seven-concert extravaganza” could garner more than $140 million for the Eastern States.

Ms Hutchinson told Sean Cowan onĀ 6PR Mornings that number doesn’t even include ticket sales.

“International visitors, interstate visitors and even metropolitan visitors will be spending a lot of cash in the cities,” she said.
