Doctor releases book ‘dispelling myths’ around vaping

A doctor has released a book that praises vaping as a pathway for smokers to quit in a new book.
New laws were introduced in Western Australia last month, requiring individuals to get a prescription from a doctor to access nicotine-containing vaping products.
Author of Stop Smoking Start Vaping: The Healthy Truth about Vaping Dr. Colin Mendelsohn said the book doesn’t say that vaping is “risk free”.
“Everything has risks, everything has chemicals,” he said on 6PR Mornings.
“What counts is how much of those chemicals, and how toxic they are.
“The amount of chemicals in vape are only a tiny fraction of what they are in smoke.
“The important things is if you’re a smoker and you switch to vaping, you’re exposed to dramatically less toxic chemicals, your health improves, you save a lot of money, you smell better and you feel a lot better.”
