There is a call for Fremantle to get rid of their 10-year long partnership with oil and gas company Woodside Energy.

Carmen Lawrence, former WA Premier and top Dockers fan, told 6PR Mornings host Liam Bartlett that partnering with Woodside is tarnishing the Docker’s reputation as an environmentally conscious corporation.

“The values of the Dockers are incompatible with the way Woodside proceeds,” Lawrence says.

Woodside have announced their aspirations to have net zero emissions by 2050.

However, Lawrence called out Woodside, saying these aspirations are unlikely to happen.

“They’re not transitioning away from fossil fuels, far from it. They’re doubling down,” she said.
