Dockers land trade targets as Eagles bank on rebuild

Fremantle wrapped up a massive trade period at the death on Wednesday, landing Geraldton product Jaeger O’Meara from Hawthorn.
The Dockers also secured their main target in Luke Jackson as well as pinch-hitting forward Josh Corbett, and farewelled Rory Lobb – who got his wish to be traded to the Bulldogs – Griffin Logue, Blake Acres, Darcy Tucker and Lloyd Meek but missed out on Jeremy Sharp.

West Coast meanwhile are getting its best look at a national draft in 15 years, splitting pick 2 for two first-round choices, which the club last had in 2007.
The Eagles now hold picks 8,12,20 and 26 and three selections in the first two rounds of next year’s draft, while gaining gun Richmond runner Jaydn Hunt and losing Junior Rioli to Port Adelaide.
