A new report has confirmed how tight Perth’s rental market is as affordable rentals across the city are in shorter supply than ever.

Proptrack has found the number of homes available for less than $400 a week has halved in the last 12 months, now representing just 15.4 percent of the market.

In March 2020, they represented 59 percent.

Report author Cameron Kusher told Gary Adshead on 6PR Mornings we’re seeing lower levels of first-home buyers across the board which is keeping the rental market tight.
