Protesters hit Matilda Bay over the weekend to protest the location of the new ferry terminal.

Deputy Premier Rita Saffioti explained to Perth Today host Simon Beaumont that the assessment of five proposed sites, including environmental impact, clearly showed Matilda Bay to be the best location.

“In relation to Pelican Point and JoJo’s where all the environmental protests yesterday wanted to put this jetty there’s actually significant environmental issues,” she said.
