Homegrown racing legend Damien Oliver has stopped by the 6PR studios, bringing the famous 2026 Melbourne Cup along for the ride.

Having ridden in more than 30 Melbourne Cups and tasted victory three times, Oliver told 6PR Breakfast hosts Karl and Mick about his historic wins and the handcrafted, million-dollar trophy.

“I think you appreciate it even more post my career, how much people are in shock and awe when they do see the Melbourne Cup because a lot of people don’t get this close to it”, he said.
