To encourage WA students to take on more challenging courses, those who achieve a D grade will still be able to pass ATAR subjects.

Kya Graves, President of the Principals Federation of WA, elaborated on this initiative to 6PR Breakfast show hosts Millsy and Karl, explaining that it aims to enable students to pursue demanding courses without concern for jeopardising their Certificate of Education.

“It won’t be the solution to increasing ATAR course participation across the board, but it is one strategy that probably will have some impact.”
