Customers pay for shocking service at new Karen’s Diner in Subiaco

An immersive, pop-up dining experience and phenomenon is coming to Subiaco called ‘Karen’s Diner’.
It is a diner like no other, expect turbulent service, singing waiters and regular guest appearances from the manager, with the world-famous diner turning hospitality etiquette on its head.
Inspired by the ‘Karen’ stereotype – a typically entitled woman donning an inverted bob hairstyle while demanding if she can speak to the manager – the first Karen’s Diner opened in Sydney recently, booking out months in advance.
Brittany Reukers, a professional ‘Karen’ from Karen’s Diner, told Millsy at Midday host Steve Mills she didn’t really want to be doing the interview.
“You can expect some burgers and anything you would expect at any American diner, except us Karens don’t have a filter, so we’re pretty much every hospitality worker’s dream,” Karen said.
“Anything that will increase your cholesterol we will serve you… we have vegan burgers but don’t bother rocking up, you will get bullied and probably go home crying.”
