Curtin University has unveiled 1000 news beds at its purpose built student precinct which will be available from next year.

Vice Chancellor Harlene Haynes told Mark Gibson students have a better university experience when they live on campus.

“The international literature is really clear,” she said on 6PR Breakfast.

“Students who actually live on campus while they’re studying at university, they get better grades, they’re more likely to complete their degree, they feel more connected to the community and they have a whole lot more fun.”
