Writer, Critic and Academic Elizabeth Farrelly wants to see private schools shutdown.

Farrelly told Julie-Anne Sprague on 6PR Afternoon’s that education is the most important aspect that a Government can provide to its people but it must be available for everyone. 

“One of the great benefits of an across the board education is that you can make excellence available for everybody,” Farelly said. 

“Now it’s wildly unequal, the chasm between wealthy and less wealthy has broadened dramatically.” 

“It only gives choice to the rich people so it’s not actually a choice, it’s a preference, it’s a privilege.”
