Cricket balls touched by spectators at Perth Ashes test would have to be replaced
There are plans for cricket balls to be replaced if they are hit into the stands and touched by spectators during the yet-to-be-confirmed Perth Ashes test.
The report in The West Australian also added the quarantine period could be cut to five days to accomodate a fifth Ashes test in Perth.
“Now I find this absolutely incredible,” Gareth Parker said on 6PR Breakfast.
“And it does have echoes of Nicole Spurrier, the South Australian Chief Health Officer, and the footy.
“I just can’t quite see what the health benefit of this is going to be.”
