Kat and her fiance have been forced to find alternative wedding accommodation after they were told by the Joondalup Resort they would have to make way for AFL team the Melbourne Demons.

The Demons are staying at the resort in the lead up to their preliminary final against Geelong at Optus stadium this weekend.

Kat is due to get married on September 18.

“On Friday, just gone, we received an email saying that ‘oh, well, you’re turfed out and you can go and stay at the quest instead,” she told Gareth Parker on 6PR Breakfast.

Kat says extra notice would have helped her find alternative accomodation.

“The thing is the footy players have been there for over a week,” she said.

“Even that extra week would have given us time to find somewhere else that’s nice.

“(We’re) a bit stressed out at the moment finding out where we are going to stay.”
