Carnarvon’s Gascoyne Hotel has announced a ban on patrons buying more than one drink at a time and can only purchase another once an empty glass is returned to the bar.

The ban is in response to combating alcohol-fuelled crime that’s creating havoc in the community and the temporary alcohol restrictions that were imposed on residents in early January.

“In the end they’re just trying to discourage – and unfortunately for those people doing the right thing it is certainly going to put their nose out of joint,” Karl said on 6PR Breakfast.
