As the dry season approaches, Cockburn, Melville, and Kwinana are installing cameras in the wetlands to track foxes, following the devastatingly high number of turtles killed by foxes last summer.

Warwick Carter Director of Perth South West Metropolitan Alliance, explained to Perth Today host Simon Beaumont that since foxes can comfortably travel 15 km in a day, eradication is not realistic, and the focus will be on management.

“We are trying to work together so that we can target them in a more productive manner,” he said.
