Premier Roger Cook spoke with Oliver Peterson live outside Optus Stadium on 6PRs Perth Live.

Oly quizzed Premier Cook on Perth’s chances as a step-in host for the cancelled 2026 Commonwealth Games.

Mr Cook said Perth wouldn’t host the games exclusively but didn’t rule out supporting a multi-city model.

“I don’t know how you do that on a multi-format sporting arrangement but it would be great if we could do it.”
