As NAIDOC Week celebrations get underway, the First Nations community is marking “50 Years of Deadly”.

Aunty Freida told 6PR Long Lunch host Tod Johnston that discussions surrounding Aboriginal culture are “improving”.

“It’s improving, but very slowly. Fifty years of deadly, the theme this year, is a platform or a statement, a protest, a celebration. A statement of survival. We’re still here,” she said.
