Consumer Protection issues urgent warning for people buying used cars
Used car buyers are being warned after flood-damaged vehicles from the Kimberley are being sold on the Western Australian market.
Buyers are being urged to get a professional to carry out thorough checks on second-hand vehicles.
Commissioner for Consumer Protection Trish Blake told Jo McManus on 6PR Afternoons people need to be careful when buying used cars.
“We are one of the few jurisdictions that allows the sale of repairable write-offs,” warned Ms Blake.
