‘Constant in a world of change’: PM pays tribute to Queen Elizabeth

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese says Queen Elizabeth II was a ‘constant in a world of change’, as he paid tribute to Her Majesty after her death aged 96.
Her death at Balmoral Castle, in the Scottish Highlands, was announced at 6.30pm London time (1.30am WST) – just three months after Britain held four days of public celebrations for her Platinum Jubilee, which marked her 70 years on the throne
Albanese told Gareth Parker on 6PR Breakfast Queen Elizabeth was the only monarch most Australians had known.
“It is quite remarkable to think that our nation as a Federation is just 121 years old and for 70 of those 121 years Queen Elizabeth has reigned, an extraordinary contribution to our Commonwealth.”
