Constant crime leaves residents fearing for their lives

Residents of a Southern Suburbs neighborhood say they feel like prisoners in their own homes as crime, violence and anti-social behaviour has taken over their streets.
Beeliar resident Marcus told Gary Adshead on 6PR Mornings the constant anxiety caused by criminal behaviour has had a profound affect on him and his neighbors, mentally and physically.
“I’ve had two items thrown at my property, I’ve been threatened with knives; My family have had threats to their lives,” Marcus said.
“You know, we’ve even looked into selling our property, the home that we love, the community that we love, and it’s just the fact that we have to even consider that is just astounding.”
