The National Rubbish report has revealed there was a 13 per cent increase in soft plastics in Western Australia despite the State Government’s Plan for Plastics. 

The report also highlighted single-use plastics account for one-quarter of all rubbish collected.

Clean Up Australia chair Pip Kiernan told Oliver Peterson on Perth Live small changes can make a difference.

“We’re just consuming so much plastic,” said Ms Kiernan.

“They will outlive you and me.”
