The Clean Energy Council is urging for the transition from coal to alternative forms of energy to be sped up as the 2030 deadline draws closer.

Clean Energy Council national spokesperson Chris O’Keefe says energy providers are concerned by how long it’s taking for projects like wind farms to be approved.

‘The WA government, rightly, has set themselves a target for the closure of coal-fired power in the west by 2030, and something’s got to replace it,” he told Simon Beaumont.
