The City of Subiaco had removed all charity collection points within its jurisdiction due to a number of complaints from rate payers.

CEO of Good Sammy Australia, Kane Blackman, said they have had to remove their collection bin on Onslow Road, which has been there since 2003.

“We’re looking forward to really engaging with the City of Subiaco to see if we can have that point re-installed, or whether there is somewhere else that the City might be open to having this point,” he told Perth LIVE.

The collection point on Onslow Road has collected over 340,000 kilograms of goods and clothing in its time.

“It’s not only just the people buying those clothes, it’s also all the workers around that. Good Sammy employs 700 people, 300 of which have a disability and those people work in our logistics chain and our stores and our warehouses so those collection points are critical,” Mr Blackman said.
