The City of Stirling will appoint public transport experts to develop a business case for ‘trackless trams’.

The magnetically guided carriages would ferry people between Glendalough, Innaloo and Scarborough Beach.

“There will be dedicated stops … it will have priority through traffic lights, it’ll be more efficient,” City of Stirling Mayor Mark Irwin said on 6PR Breakfast.

“All those things that mean when people invest along that corridor and buy an apartment, they sell their second car.”
