After 23 years of service, Ben Hodsdon has resigned from City of Nedlands council with Perth Live presenter Oliver Peterson also exclusively confirming the resignation of councillor Fergus Bennett on Monday afternoon.

Nedlands councillors Noel Youngman and Hengameh Amiry also resigned from their roles on the same day.

Speaking exclusively to Perth Live, Mr Hodsdon stated he no longer felt heard, largely blaming the Mayor of the City of Nedlands, Fiona Argyle.

“Sometimes people become so dogmatic about what they believe they forget the fact that they’re in a community of diverse views and opinions and just for a matter of fairness they need to be heard and I don’t think we’ve had that for the last 4 years,” he said.
