A WA councillor has suggested that powered Christmas lights should no longer be used.

Gavin Foley, a councillor from the Town of Cambridge, had a heated discussion with 6PR Breakfast hosts Millsy and Karl.

“Anybody who puts multiple coloured lights on a tree and plugs it into power that is fossil-fuelled is adding to the problem,” he said.
