Children need to learn ‘how to self-regulate’ phone usage

There has been a call for more education in preventing mobile phone addictions in young people. 

Mother, management consultant and author Anita McSweeney is encouraging people of all ages to look up at the stars instead of their phones.

Ms McSweeney told 6PR Breakfast children were not designed to be addicted to technology.

“Children and childhoods were just never designed to have a phone attached to them as much as they are,” said Ms McSweeney.
