To mark 50 years of NAIDOC Week, a special open-air, free screening of Bran Nue Dae will take place, featuring live performances of song, dance, and storytelling.

Ernie Dingo will be making a special appearance and told Perth Today host Simon Beaumont that he’ll be reflecting on what the film means to him and the wider community, as well as the legacy of Aboriginal storytelling in Australia.

“We just want to keep Bran Nue Dae music at the fore to let people remember the importance of it all,” he said.
