Carnarvon locals living in fear as youth crime hits a crisis point

Carnarvon’s Shire President, Eddie Smith is calling for government intervention as he claims the town has reached a crisis point.
The Gascoyne town’s civic leaders have warned of looming vigilantism as angry locals have had enough of being bashed and having their homes broken into by rampaging children as young as 8.
“We have some significant problems in Carnarvon, the issues that we are having appear to be brushed off by the state and federal government so we have chosen to make some noise about it,” Mr Smith told Michael Genovese and Mick Colliss, filling in for Millsy and Karl.
