It has been confirmed by the Lands Minister that the state government will move to take over the land adjacent to the Perth Children’s Hospice.

John Carey, the Lands and Housing Minister, told Oliver Peterson that while the PCH Foundation did its utmost to negotiate, the actions of Nedlands Council have been appalling.

‘Nedlands council have gone out of their way, they oppose the hospice, they failed to negotiate with the foundation over this parkland, they’ve done everything they can be beligerant to oppose and so we’ve had to step in,’ he said.
