The City of Canning has adopted a new policy that provides cash rewards of up to $5000 for information leading to the successful conviction of individuals for a variety of offences, including illegal dumping and graffiti.

City of Canning Mayor Patrick Hall told 6PR Breakfast hosts Millsy and Karl that while police are unable to prioritise these crimes, it is important to be proactive to help shut down the behaviour in the area.

“We’re asking people to please step forward, help your own community, let us know the information you have. And if you’re willing to come forward, we’ll provide a reward for that”, Hall said.
