There are calls to regulate insulation in all rental properties across Australia after tenants reported extreme temperatures inside their homes.

Executive director at Better Renting Joel Dignam told 6PR Perth LiveĀ people should not have to live in unsafe homes.

“We’ve had people recording over forty degrees inside their homes,” said Mr Dignam.

“It really affects people’s lives.”

Medina renter, Alex has poor insulation in the property he is renting, with temperatures reaching up to 37 degrees inside.
