Calls to end WA’s obsession with SUVs

There are calls for smaller car bays and lanes to be implemented to end Western Australia’s obsession with SUVs and utes.
More than half of new cars sold are an SUV or larger cars.
Gratton Institute transport and cities program director Marion TerrillĀ told Oliver Peterson on Perth Live larger cars cost the environment and put lives at risk.
“These days… we don’t need it,” said Ms Terrill.
“Bigger cars use more fuel… and contribute more to pollution.”
