The Western Australian Cricket Association are calling for WA to host the first Test of the summer.

This comes after the Scorchers’ historic win over the Brisbane Heat on Saturday, showcasing WA’s talent.

Chair of the WACA board Avril Fahey told Oliver Peterson on Perth Live it’s great to have cricket in WA.

“I’m so proud of our WA cricket,” said Ms Fahey.

“It’s so fabulous to have cricket back.”
