The Transport Workers Union has called an emergency safety summit of Western Australian bus drivers.

This comes after an increase in reports of antisocial behaviour on WA buses.

6PR News Reporter Jess Shackleton told Jo McManus on 6PR Afternoons more needs to be done to protect drivers.

“They’ll be taking these ideas to the state government,” said Ms Shackleton.

“More security, particularly a stronger presence in known hotspots where antisocial behaviour is rife.”
