Banks are being asked to stop closing regional branches with some people having to travel hundreds of kilometres to do their banking.

In the last four months, 92 regional bank branches have closed or plan to close.

Australian Citizens Party Research Director Robert Barwick told Oliver Peterson on Perth Live banks are trying to “gaslight” people.

“Bring back the public bank,” said Mr Barwick.
