A new WorkSafe report has found Western Australia’s agriculture sector is in need of reform due to the number of work fatalities.

Over one-quarter of workplace fatalities in the past decade have been from the agriculture industry.

Unions WA secretary Owen Whittle told Oliver Peterson on Perth Live there needs to be a better culture towards safety.

“It’s an unacceptably high number… we need to do a lot more work to drive that down,” said Mr Whittle.
