The City of Vincent have requested a Beaufort Street business owner tear down three roller shutters protecting his business, despite five break-ins into his store in the last four years.

Evolution Bikes owner Anthony Hart told Millsy and Karl on 6PR Breakfast he has spent thousands of dollars on protecting his business, and doesn’t understand why he now needs to remove the shutters.

“The frustrating element is there already was a roller shutter in place that had been there for sixteen years,” Mr Hart said.

“When I was reviewing all the security options we had available, it was probably fair to assume that it would be ok to whack a couple more up.”
