Bushwalkers warned: Tiny ticks in Perth bushland are ‘out for blood’

Tiny nymph ticks, described by wildlife rescuer Tessa Esparon as being “as small as a grain of sand”, are plaguing bushland in Perth’s north and leaving bushwalkers scratching for weeks.

Esparon told 6PR Mornings host Simon Beaumont that these ticks can live on the body for up to a month.
She offered crucial advice for park-goers,
“I really advise them if you’ve got bites showing up the next day once you’ve been bushwalking, to check yourself thoroughly, they tend to hide in all the warm spots,” she said.
