The state government’s feasibility study regarding the conversion of the Bullsbrook quarantine facility into a prison has angered local residents.

Bullsbrook resident Colin Butland told 6PR Drive host Jamie Burnett that the facility consists of nothing more than “dongers”, arguing that the mere suggestion of a prison in the area is damaging to the community.

“If they can’t run their prisons that they’ve got properly, then they need to sort that out themselves; they don’t come to Bullsbrook and use our facilities to put Band-Aids on their own problems”, he said.
