Basil Zempilas has unveiled his Scorchers-inspired plan to boost Perth’s test crowds while doubling down on his comments regarding Melbourne’s Boxing Day Test crowds.

He says Perth needs to shift the needle.

“Boxing Day will always be in Melbourne, we accept that … they’re gonna get the benefit of those holiday period test matches,” he told 6PR Breakfast.

He also says Perth should consider night matches despite criticism from people on the East coast who claim it would finish too late for them.

“Bugger the Vics I say,” he said.
